February 2025 bulletin

The potatoes, summer onions and shallots came in mid-January as notified and consequently last weekend was very busy! There were some spares ordered for those that didn’t order last autumn and we got very low on supplies. Fortunately Sheila managed to get some extras, so there are plenty left, as well as onions and shallots but probably best to come as soon as possible. The crocus and primroses will be out this weekend too.

The Show.

The Show sponsorship lists are open. We could not put on the show without sponsorship and donations. All donations are gratefully received and we would invite Association members to sponsor one or more classes in the show e.g. a vegetable or flower class that is a particular favourite, or perhaps in memory of a loved one who has passed away. If you would like to sponsor one or more fruit, vegetable or flower classes in the 2025 show, the list is available at the Hut and is £6 per class. If any of you are part of an organisation who might be willing to sponsor our show, please let us know. A business/organisation can sponsor any amount, or a minimum of £25 for a small advert in the Show schedule.

Other news.

The trip list is also open. Bridgemere on Wednesday May 14th and Bridgewater (using your own transport) on Tuesday July 15th.

There’s nothing in the greenhouse at the moment but we will be filling it with bedding plants in mid-March as usual.
