Tomatoes anyone?

At the Hut on Saturday August 9th, 11 – 1ish, it’s Tomato Tasting Day.  Bring along up to 5 varieties that you’ve grown and we’ll all try them out! Tea and coffee provided too.

The Annual Show!

Let’s talk about OUR biggest event of the year – the annual Flower & Vegetable Show.  Have a look at the schedule if you haven’t already done so, there’s sure to be something you can do, you’ve just may never have thought about it.  The schedule can be downloaded or there are hard copies at the Hut that you can collect.   Any queries about anything to do with the Show, see someone at the Hut or contact Show Secretary Marj at (nlwgashow @ aol.com) – how to present onions, display your cakes, arrange your dahlias etc (we provide all the vases so you don’t have to bring your own like you do in some other shows.)  I’m sure we can sort out any problems.

If you don’t want to exhibit, how about sponsoring a class or two? Perhaps in memory of someone?  It only costs a few pounds.  If you fancy doing this, call into the Hut and you can see the full list and select which you’d like.

And you can always volunteer an hour or two to help us set up on the Friday evening before, or dismantle on the Saturday of the Show, any help would be very much appreciated.

Please come and support the Show in whatever way you can do, we look forward to seeing you there on Saturday 13th September.  Don’t forget, the Hut WON’T be open on that day.
