May 2023 Bulletin

This coming weekend, May 6th / 7th the Coronation Weekend – WE WILL BE OPEN AS USUAL, 10.30-12 Saturday & Sunday.

For those of you had problems with credit cards payments in the Hut recently, we think it is now sorted.  Fingers crossed.

The polytunnel still has a reasonable selection of bedding plants and vegetable seedlings.  The bacopas, centradenia and geraniums are nearly all gone but there’s plenty of other bedding plants still available. The committee and other members have been growing some of the vegetables and bringing in their leftovers – this is why when you might come in asking for a certain variety, we’re never quite sure until they arrive.  So, if you’re looking for cucumber for instance, when you come in one day you can’t find any, it may be that if you come back another day, someone will have donated some – always worth a quick trip to check.  There are also a few herbaceous perennials and herbs on the bench outside the polytunnel.
If you do want any of the bedding or veg plants, then it is better if you bring your own container to take them away if you can.

A short e-bulletin this month but then, we’re all busy in the garden, especially since there are 3 Bank holidays this month!
